HBF are delighted to be collaborating with Tyne Valley Film Festival again this year with a thrilling new take on Homer’s The Odyssey, with standout performances from Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche.
Odysseus (Fiennes) washes up on the shores of Ithaca after twenty years fighting in the Trojan War, scarred and unrecognisable. His wife Penelope (Binoche), prisoner in her own home, is hounded by many suitors as their son faces death at the hands of those who see him as a threat to their ambitions. Odysseus is forced to face his past in order to save his family and win back that which he has lost.
