Who We Are

We are a small team supported by an advisory group and many wonderful volunteers.

Hexham Book Festival is a Not For Profit, Community Interest Company established in 2006 and founded by Susie Troup.

The Festival has an Advisory Board and works closely with volunteers and freelance specialists to deliver a dynamic and varied programme of events, which, thanks to the Gillian Dickinson Trust, includes Storyland – a Family Day and Schools’ Fest.

The organisation is supported by the staff and management of Queen’s Hall Arts with who we have a strong partnership.

The company thrives with thanks to the support of many different sponsors and supporters and Festival Friends.
