The power of the short story is undeniable – captivating, elusive – and very, very special. In this event we’ll discover new work, hear from an award-winning short story writer and find out why short stories are such a unique and effective form of storytelling.
Debut short story writer Marni Appleton presents her new collection I Hope You’re Happy, a world of fleeting encounters, empty couplings, break ups, bust ups, threesomes and ghosts. Joining Marni is novelist and short story writer Ross Raisin, author of four novels and winner of the 2024 National Short Story Prize.
