Grief Writing Workshop

£25 – limited spaces so please book early to secure a place.

This gently-paced and flexible workshop is for anyone who has been bereaved, whether recently or long in the past. Varied, no-pressure writing exercises will teach you techniques for capturing precious memories, acknowledging fleeting thoughts and impressions whether positive or negative, and crafting a place for them in the landscape of your day-to-day life. No special writing skills or experience needed, just pen and paper.

Dr Tamarin Norwood is a writer and academic with a background in fine art. Her academic research explores the beliefs that emerge in response to bereavement, with a focus on reproductive loss. She has led many writing workshops and has worked with national baby loss charities to create and facilitate workshops for bereaved parents, and to develop creative writing resources for baby loss, which are now distributed by the NHS.

50% of proceeds from this event will go to Sands a charity that exists to reduce the number of babies dying and to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support.
