Ben Creed is the pseudonym of Chris Rickaby and Barney Thompson. Together, the pair have written three visceral thrillers set in Stalinist Russia in the 1950s, commencing with City of Ghosts. Robert Rutherford had a random mix of jobs before taking the dive into crime writing with the novel What Falls Between The Cracks – the first in his Porter & Styles series. Joseph Hones is an author of creative non-fiction. His books Paper Chase and The Book Forger combine historical scholarship and detection.
