Local authors event: Natasha Calder, Pip Fallow & Phoebe Walker A chance to engage with three of the North-East’s most promising new literary talents. Durham-based author Natasha Calder’s solo debut novel Whether Violent or Natural is a gripping, dark and visceral tale set in a future world, one in which total antibiotic resistance has resulted in the obliteration of all but a handful of human beings. Pip Fallow’s memoir Dragged Up Proppa is a sharp, smart and thought-provoking account of growing up in a Durham pit village in the 1980s. Temper, Phoebe Walker’s debut novel, is a gorgeously evoked and incisive exploration of loneliness and alienation set in the Netherlands.
