Flash Fiction On-line Course for Young people aged 14-20yrs.

In collaboration with Queen's Hall Arts.

Join us for a brand new, free, on-line course exploring flash fiction – learning to tell great stories in only a few hundred words or less.

How it works:

Every Saturday for 4 weeks, starting Saturday 31 Oct, you’ll be emailed a selection of activities and prompts to help you create your own flash fiction. You can pick and choose which ones you want to try and spend as little or as much time as you want on them, at a time that suits you. You’ll also have the opportunity to get feedback on your writing (if you want) and at the end of the course, you can submit your work to be included in an on-line gallery.  You can see work created from previous courses here: https://www.hexhambookfestival.co.uk/hexham-young-writers-group

Activities will be designed for all ability levels so you don’t need to be a confident writer, just willing to have a go.  This is your chance to be creative, develop new skills and have fun!

To book your place:

Please email Hexham Book Festival on [email protected] by Mon 26 October.

When you sign up, you will need to provide an email address that you are happy to be shared with our group leader, Becci Sharrock.  You can find out more about Becci and her work here: https://www.beccisharrock.com/

Feedback from participants of previous courses:

“I’m really loving both of the courses so thank you”

“These tasks were really enjoyable and clear so many thanks!”

“I really enjoyed this workshop.  Thank you very much”
