Thomas Grant QC is a practising barrister and bestselling author of Jeremy Hutchinson’s Case Histories. Both educational and astonishing, his latest book, Court One: The Old Bailey & The Criminal Trials That Made Modern Britain, tells the inside story of eleven of the most sensational human dramas ever to be played out in a criminal court. As Grant shows, while Court One may be notorious for its murder trials, it also provides a record of the changing face of modern British society, bearing witness to changing attitudes to homosexuality, the death penalty, freedom of expression, insanity and the psychology of violence. Thomas will be in conversation with Edward Bindloss who contributed to his book.
