Susie Alegre – The Freedom to Think

This event has now sold out, please contact the Box Office if you wish to be added to the waiting list.

Human rights barrister Susie Alegre charts the history and fragility of our most important human right: freedom of thought. Connecting the dots that lead from Galileo to Alexa, from Papal edicts to global tech algorithms, she shows how the rich and powerful have constantly sought to influence and control what we think and how we act. Alegre launches an impassioned call for a recasting of our human rights for the digital age. A call we must heed if we are not to sleepwalk into an authoritarian future.

Chaired by Caron Gentry.

Chosen as one of the best books of 2022 by the Financial Times and the Telegraph.
