Lee Schofield DUE TO ILLNESS THIS EVENT HAS NOW BEEN POSTPONED IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A TICKET THE BOX OFFICE WILL BE IN TOUCH WITH YOU Wild Fell Lee Schofield is a naturalist and nature writer living and working in the Lake District National Park. As senior site manager at RSPB Haweswater he cares for 30 square kilometres of spectacular upland landscape in a way that integrates ecological restoration with sustainable farming. Lee feels a strong connection to the landscape. He is obsessed by wildlife in all its forms but by plants in particular, which he sees as the building blocks for nature recovery. In 2015, England's last golden eagle died on the remote eastern fells of the Lake District. It was a sad day for the nation’s wildlife but not an unexpected one. Two years earlier Lee had begun work on an ambitious rewilding project, his aim being to build back the area’s natural eco-system from the bottom up and to re-create a landscape that would support the return of golden eagles, and other lost wildlife, to the area. Wild Fell is Lee’s story of how he is working to make that vision become a reality.
