ReadPlus "This is a funny, clever and very enjoyable verse retelling of Rumpelstiltskin. The story takes Rumpelstiltskin back to its original darkly horrifying roots and adds a smart, likeable heroine who saves the day with a story." BookTrust " Fairy Tales Gone Bad - Zombierella "Such a fun story with excellent illustrations ... with enough familiarity to feel known but with enough difference to make it quirky and original." Malorie Blackman About Joseph Coelho Joseph Coelho is a performance poet, children’s author, playwright and winner of the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education Poetry Award 2015 for his debut poetry collection Werewolf Club Rules (Frances Lincoln, 2014). Joe has written plays for the Polka Theatre, Soho Theatre and the Unicorn Theatre and creates dynamic poetry theatre pieces for young people that he tours nationally. He also performs with the UK’s top performance poetry organisation, Apples and Snakes, visiting venues across the UK. Joseph has also been a guest poet on Cbeebies’ Rhyme Rocket. "The years spent performing to children as an actor and performance poet enabled me to take my work to children who would otherwise not get to see theatre or possibly read a book, I've performed in libraries and school halls, community centres and tents and have had to discover on the front-line how to make my words land. If you can't capture a child with your words and performance they will simply walk out on you. In that environment you learn all the tools for grabbing attention, tools like pizazz! and wow-factor! For sure, but also tools like emotion and intrigue and thrills and truth." Joseph Coelho
