Ingrid Persaud - Love After Love, Book Group event

Trinidadian-born writer Ingrid Persaud’s first novel If I Never Went Home was published in 2013. Her short story The Sweet Sop was the overall winner of the 2017 Commonwealth Short Story Prize, and in 2018 won the BBC National Short Story Award. Her dazzling new novel Love After Love is the story of an unconventional modern Trinidadian family and the universal quest for affection. Told in original and electrifying prose, it’s a tale of secrets, cultural complexity and the consequences of desperate choices that crackles with linguistic invention and irrepressible Caribbean wit.
