Funny Words Comedy Gala

Queen's Hall presents a line-up of top comedians showcasing the best of UK comedy.  Featuring Anth Young, Ada Campe, John Robertson, Aaron Simmonds, Jonny Awsum and special guest Paul Pirie.

Ada Campe's performances are true variety at it's very best, rife with the absurd and the outlandish, mystery and intrigue and unabashed, pure comedy.

Anth Young is a regular on the comedy scene at clubs up and down the UK, he is also the tour support for Carl Hutchinson. He was runner up in the great Yorkshire fringe new act of the year 2017. 

Aaron Simmonds is an award-winning comedian with cerebral palsy. He has performed for such clubs as The Comedy Store, Top Secret Comedy Club and Just The Tonic .

Jonny Awsum is a dab hand at singing, acting, presenting, stand-up comedy and playing guitar, Jonny has a crowd-pleasing set that's seen him smash thousands of gigs all around the world.  Jonny's musings include everything from the white lies he tells his girlfriend to   his new hometown of Croydon and the memory of his first love at eight years old. 

John Robertson is known for his witty, quick slinging gags, he lights up the room with his energetic and original ideas! He is the creator of the hugely popular ‘The Dark Room’ shows at the Edinburgh Festival where he’ll be returning this year. 

Paul Pirie comes packed full of energy and is a brilliant natural comedian. Described as a hilarious rubber faced clown by The Scotsman, Paul’s career has encompassed TV, Film, Radio alongside his skills as a stand up. Paul’s hilarity and comedic ability has earned him huge popularity with comedy goers and bookers across the world. He has won Scottish comedian of the year and has stormed festivals across the globe. Paul is a well-known face on the UK comedy circuit and was simply born to entertain.
