The author of The Scottish Salmon Bible and The Scottish Food Bible, Claire Macdonald is one of Scotland’s best known and best loved cookery writers. For over 40 years she and husband Godfrey have run Kinloch Lodge, rated as one of the top 25 Small Hotels in the World by Conde Nast Traveller and the first restaurant on the Isle of Skye to be awarded a Michelin Star. Lifting the Lid: a Life at Kinloch Lodge, is the autobiographical account of her and Godfrey’s eventful years of running Kinloch.
