Thank you to those of you who helped make this, the fifth Hexham Book Festival, such a huge success. Together with an outstanding line-up and record numbers of visitors from further afield, the festival enjoyed a lively and entertaining mix of author talks, schools events and poetry reading. Without exception, all the authors enjoyed the welcoming experience of coming to Hexham and participating in our small – but steadily growing festival.
Highlights, as commented on by our audiences, were PD James interviewed by Val McDermid, Dame Shirley Williams, Philippa Gregory, A.L.Kennedy and Jodi Picoult amongst many others.
