YOU ARE HER
Linda France will be reading from her new collection, You are Her – the title found on a fading information board at Hadrian’s Wall, not far from where she’s lived in Northumberland for the past thirty years. The heart of the book looks at nature and form through the life and work of Capability Brown, born nearby in Kirkharle in 1716. Fifteen years ago a horse-riding accident fractured Linda’s spine and cracked her pelvis. Many of the poems in You are Her chart the process of damage and healing, a cycle of re-orientation.
FLYING
Flying is an exciting new collaboration between artist/printmaker Kim Lewis and poet Linda France. A series of wood engravings and drawings illustrate a sequence of poems on the theme of birds, taken from Linda's new collection You Are Her, published by Arc.
